General purpose vortex sump pumps designed to handle clean or grey water containing soft solids. The open impeller, semi vortex centrifugal design allows solids to pass through the pump with minimal risk of blockage.
Constructed with 304 stainless steel shafts, motor shells, and fasteners, these pumps are built for long service life in demanding sump and wastewater applications. Suitable for fixed installations and commonly paired with slide rail kits for easy removal and servicing.

The Davey General Purpose Vortex Sump Pump range is designed for applications where reliability and blockage resistance are critical.
Using a semi vortex, open impeller centrifugal design, these pumps are able to pass soft solids in suspension while keeping debris away from the impeller. This significantly reduces the likelihood of pump or pipework blockages compared to standard centrifugal sump pumps.
Select models feature a recirculation port that keeps soft solids agitated within the sump, improving pumping performance in effluent and grey water applications. Double mechanical shaft seals in an oil bath provide excellent motor protection and long service life, with additional sand slinger seals offering further protection in abrasive environments.
The pump construction includes corrosion resistant 304 stainless steel motor shells, shafts, strainers, and fasteners, combined with a durable painted finish. Automatic resetting thermal overload protection is fitted to safeguard the motor during overload or blockage conditions.
These pumps are well suited to permanent installations and Davey recommends the use of slide rail kits for easy removal and servicing.
