Shipping

We ship across New Zealand from our Waihi and Thames stores.

Free freight over $300

Standard freight on orders over $300 (NZD, including GST) is on us within New Zealand. Under $300, freight is calculated at checkout based on weight, destination, and whether the destination is rural or urban.

Carriers we use

For lighter parcels we ship with New Zealand Post. For heavier and oversize freight (most whole house pumps, larger filtration systems, fittings cases) we ship with Mainfreight. We pick the carrier based on weight and destination, not based on cost to us.

Delivery timeframes
  • North Island: 1 to 3 working days from dispatch.
  • South Island: 3 to 5 working days from dispatch.
  • Rural delivery: add 1 to 2 working days, and a rural delivery surcharge applies (calculated at checkout).

Timeframes are estimates from the freight network and are not guarantees. Christmas, New Year, and major weather events can push these out.

Order processing

Orders placed before 1pm on a working day are usually dispatched the same day. Orders placed after 1pm, on a weekend, or on a public holiday ship the next working day.

If a product is out of stock when you order, we will email or call you with the expected lead time before we ship anything. You can wait, swap, or cancel.

Heavy and oversize freight

Pumps and larger filtration systems are heavy. Most go Mainfreight on a pallet or in a cage. A few things to know:

  • Mainfreight delivery is kerbside, weekdays, business hours. They are not set up to deliver to back yards, second storeys, or sites without vehicle access.
  • If you live somewhere that needs special arrangements (long drive, no truck access, gated property), tell us at checkout in the order notes so we can plan the delivery.
  • Authority to leave: by default we require a signature on heavy freight. If you want it left without signature, you do so at your risk and the freight is no longer covered for loss.
Click and collect

Free pickup from either store. Pick "Click and collect" at checkout and choose your store:

  • Waihi: 65 Kenny Street, Mon to Fri 8am to 5pm.
  • Thames: 74 Kopu Road, Mon to Fri 8am to 3pm.

If the product is in stock at the store you select, it is usually ready within 2 working hours. If it needs to come from the other store or from a supplier, we will email or call with the ready time. Bring photo ID for collection.

Tracking

Once your order ships, you get a tracking number by email. NZ Post tracks through nzpost.co.nz. Mainfreight tracks through mainfreight.com (you may need to enter the consignment number).

Damaged in transit

If your order arrives damaged, do not refuse it. Accept it, take photos of the packaging and any visible damage, and contact us within 48 hours on 07 863 8064 or contact@pumpstuff.co.nz. We will sort a replacement or refund quickly under our Refund Policy.

Missing or late parcels

If your parcel is more than 5 working days past the estimated delivery date, get in touch and we will chase the carrier.

Out of stock items

If a product on the website is out of stock, we will tell you the expected lead time before we accept your order. Some products can be drop-shipped direct from the supplier (you still get our after sales support). Some have to come from overseas. Either way, you decide.
