Key features
- Integrated variable speed drive. The pump speeds up or slows down to match what your taps are drawing
- Constant pressure across the house with no surging when a second tap opens
- Built in dry run protection and common fault shutdowns
- Small pressure tank built into the pump body, so no separate pressure tank is needed for most installs
- Soft start and quiet operation, well suited to homes where the pump sits close to living areas
- Efficient on solar and off grid power
- Australian designed and built, 2 year warranty
Where it fits
This pump suits large houses and lifestyle blocks running clean water from a tank in a flooded suction install. Designed for whole home supply with up to six outlets, plus light extras like trough lines or small irrigation runs. It is not the right pick if your tank sits below the point of use.
Common questions
Will the DynaDrive 60-10 run two showers at once?
Yes. At 80 L/min rated flow it comfortably handles two showers plus a kitchen tap. Three showers at the same time is on the edge, so if that is a regular pattern, look at the 90-11.
Do I need a separate pressure tank?
No, not for most installs. The DynaDrive has a small pressure tank built in and the variable speed drive manages pressure directly. Add an external pressure tank only if your run between pump and house is very long and you want to reduce cycling on small draws.
Is it OK for off grid solar?
Yes. The soft start draw is much friendlier to inverters than a fixed speed jet pump. Confirm your inverter surge capacity is at least 1.5 kW.
Can it lift water from a tank below the house?
Not well, because it is a flooded suction pump. If the tank sits below the point of use, use a jet pump (Dynajet XJ70 or XJ90) or a submersible (Grundfos SQE) instead.
What should we watch out for at install?
Keep the pump dry and covered. Variable speed electronics do not like wet or damp environments, so a pump cover is worth it if the install is outside. It also pays to bait for ants regularly, because they are drawn to the warmth of the electronics and can get inside and cause faults. For the full rundown, follow our install guide.
What is the warranty?
Davey warrants this pump for 2 years. If something goes wrong, come to us first and we will do the legwork with Davey on your behalf. Davey are usually accommodating, but warranty cover is at their discretion and they may ask for photos of the install before approving a claim. The cleaner the install, the easier the claim.
