Puretec Neutralising Treatment System (NTS and Neutramax NTX)

At a Glance

A Puretec neutralising system raises the pH of acidic water by passing it through a bed of neutralising media. Low pH water is corrosive: it eats copper pipe, leaves blue green staining on baths and basins, pinholes hot water cylinders and shortens the life of every fitting in the house. Roof and rainwater supplies in New Zealand are very often acidic, and this is the fix.

Get a water test first. Every one of these systems treats a specific problem, and the wrong one will not fix your water no matter how much it costs. A test tells you what you are actually dealing with. We would rather tell you that before you spend the money.

• Blue or green staining on baths, basins, showers and tapware
• Pinhole leaks appearing in copper pipework
• Bore or spring water testing below pH 7

Key Specs

• NTS vs Neutramax NTX: NTS is the standard neutralising media. NTX carries a higher capacity media blend for water that is more aggressively acidic or higher in flow. If your test comes back well below pH 6, ask us about the NTX
• Flow: 15 to 90 L/min depending on model. Size on your peak demand, not your average
• Automatic backwash: the system cleans and re-beds its own media on a schedule, no cartridges
• Media top up: neutralising media is consumed as it works and is topped up periodically rather than replaced. RMK-NTS15L for NTS, RMK-NTX20L for NTX
• Drain required: backwashing systems need a drain and a power point at the install location
