Puretec Inline Remineralising Cartridge for Reverse Osmosis

An inline remineralising cartridge goes on the outlet of a reverse osmosis system and puts back the minerals the membrane took out. Fit one on every RO install. Reverse osmosis is indiscriminate: it rejects nitrate, fluoride and dissolved salts, and it rejects the calcium and magnesium along with them. What comes out the other side is very pure and slightly acidic, and it tastes flat because the minerals your palate reads as taste are gone.

Remineralising fixes both problems at once. The cartridge adds calcium and magnesium back into the treated water, which lifts the pH back towards neutral and gives the water its taste and body back. Low pH RO water is also mildly aggressive towards copper and brass fittings downstream, so remineralising protects the plumbing on the treated line as well as improving what comes out of the tap.

Pick the connection that suits your system. IL146 is the standard 1/4 inch BSP cartridge. IL146Q is the same cartridge with a quick change T connector, which makes the annual swap a thirty second job with no fittings to undo. The CO-R200 is the Mg+ cartridge, a magnesium weighted alternative. Replace at the same interval as your RO prefilters, so roughly every 12 months.
