The Davey PowerMaster is Davey's high performance single speed pool pump for New Zealand, five sizes from the entry PM200 to the three phase PM4503, built with a totally enclosed fan cooled (TEFC) motor and a built-in check valve for in ground and above ground pools, lap pools and commercial applications up to 170,000 litres.

• PM4503: 2040W input, 1750W output, 3.6A run current, 18.0kg, 65dBa, three phase 380-415V, for commercial pools and aquaculture. This one needs a licensed electrician for the three phase connection, it is not a straight plug swap like the rest of the range
• Inlet/Outlet: 40/50mm PVC on PM200 to PM350, 50mm PVC on PM450 and PM4503, barrel unions supplied
• Impeller and seal: silicon carbide mechanical seal for salt and fresh water, stainless steel motor shaft, built-in check valve
• Power supply: single phase models get a 3m lead with a 10amp Australian three pin plug fitted, the three phase PM4503 does not
• Protection: double insulated to the water circuit with an equipotential bonding point for AS/NZS 3000 wiring
• Operating limits: max water temperature 50 degrees C, max ambient 55 degrees C

Why We Like It

The PowerMaster is the heavy duty pick, a TEFC motor and a built-in check valve you do not get on the lighter single speed pumps in the Davey range, and the extra large strainer basket means longer intervals between cleaning. If you are sizing for a big pool or a commercial job, the PM4503's three phase 380-415V supply needs a licensed electrician on the circuit, so factor that into the install rather than assuming a plug swap.
