How it works
The CU 302 sits above ground and communicates with the SQE motor over the existing power cable. It reads what the system is doing, holds a set pressure as taps open and close, and shows you what is happening through the display and through the app. Setup is done either over Bluetooth on your phone or with the buttons on the unit.
Where it fits
Bore and well installations running a Grundfos SQE, where you want constant pressure at the house rather than the on and off feel of a pressure switch. The diagnostics are the other half of the value. Live readings and fault history save a lot of guesswork when something is not right at the bottom of a bore you cannot see.
What to watch out for
Three things catch people out. It is not a plug and play product, so there is electrical work involved. It needs a pressure tank of 18 litres or larger to function correctly. And it only works with the Grundfos SQE range, not with other Grundfos pumps and not with other brands.
