Where it fits
This pump suits clean water from a well, tank, or cistern, where you want quiet constant pressure from a pump that sits in the water. Good for whole home supply, rainwater re-use, pressurisation, gardening, and irrigation. With the DOC68 accessory it can also run on the surface as a traditional booster. If you only need basic tank supply without variable speed, the Grundfos SBA is simpler and cheaper. For a deep drilled bore, compare against the Grundfos SQE range.
Common questions
What makes the E.SYDIVER different from a normal submersible?
The inverter is built in. You get the silence of a submersible and the smooth constant pressure of a variable speed system in one pump, which most submersibles cannot do.
Can it run out of the water?
Yes. It runs submerged or partially submerged, and with the DOC68 accessory it can be installed on the surface and used like a traditional booster pump.
How do I stop it running the tank dry?
Fit the optional float and level sensor, which connect through an NFC pocket without compromising the pump's water tightness. It also draws water down close to the bottom, with suction adjustable to about 8 cm, so it empties a tank further than most.
Can I control it from my phone?
Yes. It is WiFi enabled and the DConnect Box 2 is included, so you can monitor pressure, alarms, and settings from the DConnect app on Android or iOS.
What should we watch out for at install?
The pump itself sits in the water so there is little to weatherproof, but any surface connection box or controller must be kept dry and covered, and ants are drawn to the warmth of electronics so bait around them regularly. Set the suction so the pump does not draw settled sediment. For the full rundown, follow our install guide.
What is the warranty in NZ?
DAB warrants this pump for 2 years, parts and labour. If something goes wrong, come to us first and we will do the legwork with DAB on your behalf. DAB are usually accommodating, but warranty cover is at their discretion and they may ask for photos of the install before approving a claim. The cleaner the install, the easier the claim.
