Davey DD160 Series Constant Pressure System

The Davey DD160 19 is a high capacity variable speed constant pressure pump designed for larger household, lifestyle, and agricultural water supply applications. It is ideal for situations where high flow rates and steady pressure are required, such as large homes with multiple bathrooms, shared water systems, pressure boosting, irrigation, and turf watering.

Using variable speed drive technology, the DD160 19 automatically adjusts pump speed to match water demand. This ensures smooth, consistent pressure at all outlets without surging, while reducing noise, energy use, and wear on the pump. The soft start operation makes the system suitable for off grid and generator supported installations when sized correctly.

The pump itself is a horizontal multistage centrifugal design with all hydraulic components manufactured from stainless steel. This provides excellent corrosion and wear resistance, long service life, and the ability to handle higher water temperatures. High efficiency stainless steel impellers and self centring neck rings reduce friction and power consumption while keeping noise levels low.

Priming and reliability are improved through the use of air purging valves and internal stage porting, reducing susceptibility to air leaks. The fully stainless steel pump casing is securely mounted to the motor bracket at multiple points using an o ring seal, ensuring excellent sealing and long term durability.

The Davey built motor is a totally enclosed fan cooled design with sealed and greased for life bearings and oversized drive end bearings for extended service life. It is designed for economical, quiet operation even under high demand and frequent start conditions.

The integrated variable speed controller provides full automatic operation and advanced system protection. It monitors pump performance and protects against dry running, overload, and other common faults. Pressure settings are adjustable, and the system is capable of operating multiple pumps in parallel for larger installations requiring redundancy or higher flow rates.

The DD160 Series is manufactured to ISO 9001 quality standards and ISO 14001 environmental standards and is certified for use with potable water. Designed and built in Australia, it is fully supported in New Zealand with local parts availability, service support, and warranty backup.
