What comes out the other side is very pure and slightly acidic, and it tastes flat because the minerals your palate reads as taste are gone.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eRemineralising fixes both problems at once. The cartridge adds calcium and magnesium back into the treated water, which lifts the pH back towards neutral and gives the water its taste and body back. Low pH RO water is also mildly aggressive towards copper and brass fittings downstream, so remineralising protects the plumbing on the treated line as well as improving what comes out of the tap.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ePick the connection that suits your system. \u003cstrong\u003eIL146\u003c\/strong\u003e is the standard 1\/4 inch BSP cartridge. \u003cstrong\u003eIL146Q\u003c\/strong\u003e is the same cartridge with a quick change T connector, which makes the annual swap a thirty second job with no fittings to undo. The \u003cstrong\u003eCO-R200\u003c\/strong\u003e is the Mg+ cartridge, a magnesium weighted alternative.
